VOTERS are prouder to be American this election year than they were in 2020 and more so now that President Joe Biden is out, a U.S. Sun survey has revealed.
The survey found that 36% of respondents are more proud to be an American today than they were four years ago.

Of the respondents, asked in October 2024, 28% were less proud to be American.
The same sample of voters was asked those same questions in April this year and felt prouder to be American now than six months ago.
Asked in April, before Joe Biden announced he wasn’t running for a second term, only 26% of respondents felt prouder to be American than they did in 2020.
In contrast, a third of Americans, 33%, felt less proud in our April survey.
There was also a divide across party lines when it came to pride in being American.
This month’s survey found 39% of Republicans are less proud to be Americans today than in 2020.
Just 14% of Democrats feel less proud to be American today than four years ago, at the start of Biden’s presidency.
A third, 33%, of third-party voters – Libertarian, Independent, or Green – are less proud to be American today than in 2020.
Our polling also found Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are tied in a dead heat just days away from election day.
Harris and Trump are currently deadlocked at 46% each, according to a survey conducted by The U.S. Sun earlier this month.
Only 5% of Americans aren’t sure who they’ll vote for, and 2% aren’t planning to vote at all, with election day now just over 30 days away.
When given the option to explain their choices, one person wrote: “I was, until the last week, 100% voting for Trump, but as of right now, I think I am 80% Harris bound.”
They didn’t provide further explanation for the shift.
With election day less than two weeks away, both campaigns are looking to win over what is believed to be a fast-shrinking group of remaining undecided voters.

Much of the final days of campaigning will be concentrated in the seven battleground states – Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
Polling in the swing states is on a knife edge, with neither candidate holding more than a 2% lead in any state.
Harris has tried to convince voters with a series of last-minute media appearances, including a one-on-one NBC interview and an appearance at a CNN town hall which Trump chose not to attend.
She will be hosting an event in Houston, Texas highlighting abortion rights today, where she will be joined by Beyonce.

The Republican former president, for his part, has largely avoided the mainstream media, holding a roundtable with Latino supporters in Florida and a town hall with evangelical voters in Georgia.
He is also sitting down with podcaster Joe Rogan for an episode due to be broadcast next week.
