A DESPERATE search is underway for a missing woman who went overboard on a Taylor Swift-themed cruise.
The Royal Caribbean cruise ship was about 17 miles north from its destination of Nassau, Bahamas when the 66-year-old woman went overboard on Tuesday evening.
The Swifties event was hosted onboard Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas vessel, which departed from the port of Miami on Monday.
However, at around 9:40 pm on Tuesday, the woman, who has not been identified, tumbled off the ship and dropped into the ocean, according to TMZ.
“Our crew immediately launched a search and rescue effort and is working with local authorities,” a Royal Caribbean spokesperson told the outlet.
“We are also providing support and assistance to the guest’s family during this difficult time. To respect the privacy of our guest’s family, we have no additional details to share.”

The Royal Bahamas Defense Force and the US Coast Guard are conducting a joint search effort for the woman.
An HC-144 airplane crew and an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew were a part of the search team.
‘IN MY CRUISE ERA’
The cruise was supposed to be a joyous celebration of the pop megastar’s illustrious career and achievements.
A group of hundreds of Swifties dubbed themselves the In My Cruise Era: The Taylor Fan’s Cruise Group, according to TMZ.
The band had planned several events together, including Taylor trivia, dance parties, karaoke, a ship-wide scavenger gunt, a door-decorating contest, nightly Era outfit themes, and even friendship-bracelet swapping.
Double-occupant rooms onboard the Swifties cruise were going for over $1,500, the outlet reported.
